Generating the eMASS Workbook

Walk through the eMASS Export Wizard and download the Excel workbook.

The eMASS Export Wizard builds the CMMC Level 2 Assessment Results Template v3.8 Excel workbook from your recorded findings. Everything is generated inside the client — the finished file downloads through your browser.

Open the wizard

On a completed engagement (or one in the Close-Out phase), click Export to eMASS in the workspace's action buttons.

The wizard has five steps shown across the top: Assessment, Requirements, Objectives, SSP, and Review & Export. Click a step's circle to jump to it, or use Previous / Next at the bottom.

If the engagement has more than one snapshot (from correction cycles), an Export Snapshot card appears above the steps — pick which snapshot's data to export; it defaults to the current one.

Step 1 — Assessment

Sheet 1: Assessment Results Information collects the export metadata. Fields marked Required must be filled before the export unlocks:

  • Assessment Start Date (required) and Assessment End Date — pre-filled from the engagement; you can override for this export.
  • Lead Assessor CPN (required) and QA Assessor CPN — assessor CyberAB Professional Numbers.
  • Standards AcceptanceNone, DIBCAC High, FedRAMP Moderate, or FedRAMP High.
  • Hash Value (required) — the SHA-256 hash of your artifacts folder.
  • Hashed Data List (log filename) (required).
  • C3PAO Executive Summary (required).

The OSC Name, Hash Algorithm (SHA-256), and Hash Date are shown read-only. A Required Fields Missing alert lists anything outstanding and clears live as you type.

Overrides you type in the wizard apply to this export only — they do not change the engagement record.

Steps 2–4 — Review the data

  • Requirements (Sheet 2) — summary tiles for Total Requirements, Met, Not Met, and In POA&M, plus the column layout the export will use (CMMC-format requirement numbers such as AC.L2-3.1.1, point values, POA&M flags).
  • Objectives (Sheet 3) — totals for Assessed, Met, and Not Met objectives, and an Assessment Evidence Completeness grid showing how many assessed objectives have Artifacts, Interviews, Examine Notes, and Test Notes recorded, with "missing" badges where gaps remain.
  • SSP (Sheet 4) — the SSP name, version, and date pulled from the imported package.

These steps are review-only; the data comes from what you recorded on each objective (see Recording findings).

Step 5 — Review & Export

The final step shows an Export Summary, the Sheets Included list, and a readiness alert — Ready to Export or Cannot Export with the remaining required fields.

  • Click Download Excel Workbook to save the .xlsx file (named CMMC_L2_Assessment_<OSC name>.xlsx).
  • Click Download JSON for a machine-readable export of the same data.

Both downloads land in your browser's download location; nothing is transmitted anywhere else.
