Search
Find a client, contact, risk, roadmap item, document, vendor, asset or goal across every client you work on, and the filters inside each page.
The search box in the top bar finds records across every live client you can open. Type at least two characters and press Enter. The results page has the same box, so you can refine the search there.
Search is for Foxx Cyber staff. Assessors from a partner firm do not have it.
What it searches
| Results group | Matches on |
|---|---|
| Clients | Name, legal name and industry. |
| Contacts | Name, title and email. Opens the client's Profile at its contacts. |
| Risks | Title, scenario, owner and the asset named on the risk. |
| Roadmap items | Title, description and owner. |
| Documents and evidence | Title, description and owner, across documents, evidence and engagement agreements. |
| Vendors | Name, service, contact name and the data they handle. |
| Assets | Name, description, owner and location. |
| Goals | Title, description and owner. |
Search does not look inside control answers, the framework catalog, the engagement log, calendar events or the content of uploaded files. To find a control, use the filters on the framework's page (below).
How matching works
- The text you type is matched as one phrase, anywhere in a field,
ignoring upper and lower case.
access revfinds "Quarterly access review". - What you type is taken literally:
%and_are ordinary characters, not wildcards. - Between 2 and 100 characters.
Reading the results
A line above the results says how many records match. Results are grouped
in the order of the table above, and sorted by client, then reference
number, then title. Each row shows the record's reference number where it
has one (R-, RM-, DOC-, V-, A-), its title, a detail such as the
owner or service, the client it belongs to, and its status. Choose a row to
open the record.
Each group shows at most 25 results, and its heading counts every match ("showing 25 of 143"). When there are more, the foot of the group says how to narrow it: add words to the search, or see every client on Clients, or open a client to see all of its records of that kind.
What you can find
Search covers the same clients you can open, and nothing else:
- Admins search every live client.
- Consultants and viewers search the clients they are on.
- Archived clients are left out for everyone. Open them from Clients → Archived clients.
A client you are not on never appears in the results, not even as a count.
Filters inside a page
Some pages have their own filters, which work on one client at a time:
- A framework's assessment page filters its controls by group, status and a text search on the control's reference or wording. See Assessing Controls.
- The document and evidence libraries filter by state, type and a search on titles.
- The control pickers on document and roadmap forms search the client's adopted frameworks.
- The audit log filters by person, client, action and date.
