Running a live session

Log sets, reps, weights, and durations while the workout is happening.

The live-session screen is the same screen in all three cases: you running a session with a client in front of you, a client working through their own program, or an athlete opening an assigned workout in the portal. Whoever opens it, the workout is logged the same way.

Start one from an assigned program — a Start button on a client's overview or dashboard, or a workout in the portal's Workouts tab.

The screen

A sticky header shows Live Session, whose session it is, the workout name, and a running elapsed-minutes counter. If the client has health conditions recorded, they appear in a warning band directly under the header, so they are visible for the whole session rather than buried in a profile.

Below that:

  • Exercise navigation — move between exercises, with a progress indicator showing where you are in the workout.
  • Previous performance — a recall line under the exercise, reading something like "Last: 3×10 @ 135 lbs" with the date, or duration and distance for cardio work. Nobody has to remember last week's numbers.
  • Muscles targeted — the body map for the current exercise.
  • Sets Completed — the log itself. For a weight exercise each row takes Reps and Weight; for cardio and timed exercises, Duration. Add rows as you go and remove a row with its delete control.
  • Rest timer buttons — 1:00, 1:30, 2:00, and 3:00 appear once a weight exercise has a set logged. Tapping one starts a Rest Timer countdown you can stop early.
  • Exercise Notes — form cues and modifications for this exercise.
  • Session Notes — how the session went overall.

Finishing

Finish Session saves the whole thing. What was logged then appears:

  • In the client's session history and on their record.
  • In the strength-progress charts on Measurements and progress.
  • In your Recent sessions feed and the weekly activity and adherence views — see Reports and adherence.
  • For athletes, in the team's activity summaries on the team dashboard.

The screen is built for a phone held in one hand between sets. Athletes and clients logging their own work get the identical interface, so anything you demonstrate once transfers directly.
